LIFESTEPS

LIFESTEPS is a project for adults aged 18 – 30 who have additional needs. It seeks to provide a safe space to socialise, learn and develop new skills -including those needed for work, interacting with the community, cooking and budgeting. It provides the opportunity for peer interaction and the opportunity for the group to participate in activities that are engaging and age appropriate. This project is delivered by Youth Engagement Service, we provide the workers and manage the fundraising.

The project runs on a Monday at Kendal Lads and Girls club during term time, 10am - 2pm.  It costs £10 and this includes lunch.  Advance booking is essential, either by email, text or phone.  

LIFESTEPS Activity Club During the holiday period we run an activity club at the centre.  It is open to all aged 16 - 30 with additional needs.  We run safe and age appropriate activities for those attending which seek to encourage personal development, socialisation and employment skills.  It costs £25 and includes lunch.  We try to go on at least 1 trip out each holiday period.
