Our Story
2015 – As funding was redirected to different areas of youth provision across the county, many small and rural youth clubs were going to struggle to continue running weekly sessions as they had been.   The need for professionally qualified youth workers, to support volunteers on a weekly basis to run their clubs was still essential, however, this was where funding no longer existed as it once had.  The picture looked bleak for many of the youth clubs in the South Lakes, with the thoughts of closure  hanging in the air, it prompted us, a group of experienced youth workers, into action.
Youth Engagement Service was formed to try and provide a way to save the youth clubs and support young people.
Our idea – Create a network of qualified youth workers including a fundraising expert and support local communities to continue running their youth projects.  We offer guidance if needed, fundraising support and youth workers to run youth clubs with the support of the community.
A not for profit organisation created in recognition that young people deserve activities which are engaging and accessible.  We aim to support local groups to enable this to happen.

Youth Engagement Service can provide professional youth workers to run your projects. We have a network of experienced freelance youth workers,  whom are all DBS checked and hold First Aid and Food Hygiene Certificates.
